Job Summary
Local independent DME/HME Company is seeking a full time Delivery Technician to assist our customers and to deliver and pick-up home medical equipment in the Tifton Area. The ideal candidate will be professional and courteous, have a strong desire to assist the elderly and disabled, and be able to perform multiple duties within a patients home and within our office.
Candidates must have a High-School diploma or GED equivalent and a clean driving record. Mandatory drug testing and criminal background checks will be performed on all employees in this position.
Overtime hours will be available and this candidate must be willing to be on call on weekends.

Responsibilities of the Driver include the following:
- Represent the Company in a professional and courteous manner in all interactions with client/patients.
- Schedule and deliver home medical equipment to client/patients’ homes.
- Obtain appropriate client/patient documentation.
- Pick up and clean home medical equipment as needed.
- Perform light maintenance on delivery van, and maintain mileage/vehicle check log.
- Maintain equipment tracking and lot number tracking for oxygen and solutions.
- Maintain HME delivery records.
- Assist in resolving client equipment problems when appropriate.
- Assume on-call responsibilities in accordance with Company policy.
- Report equipment hazards and/or product incidents as required in accordance with Company policy.
- Participate in surveys conducted by authorized inspection agencies.
- Participate in the Company’s Performance Management program as requested by the Performance Management Coordinator.
- Pursue continuing education programs appropriate to job responsibilities.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Store Manager.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record for the past three years.
- Effective interpersonal, time management and organizational skills.
- One year of home medical equipment experience preferred.
