Our work environment includes Growth opportunities, safe work environments (safely transporting goods). Pickup and delivery drivers are responsible for safely loading, securing, and transporting goods from the pickup location to the designated destination. Drivers must handle all cargo with care, ensuring that it is properly protected during transit to prevent damage or loss. Drivers must follow specific delivery instructions provided by the customer and/or company. This includes adhering to delivery schedules, locating and accessing delivery points, and following any special instructions related to handling or documentation. Pickup and delivery drivers are responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation related to their deliveries. This includes verifying the accuracy of shipping labels, recording delivery times, obtaining signatures or proof of delivery, and reporting any discrepancies/issues encountered. In this role, you must exhibit the core values of Joyner's Transportation which are professionalism, courtesy, and excellent customer service skills. All drivers will address any questions or concerns raised by the customer.

Delivery Truck Driver Job Description:
Driving a company vehicle to various locations to complete deliveries.
- Must have 1 year of experience driving a 26 ft. non-cdl truck/box truck.
- Safely driving and operating a delivery truck.
- Load and unload items from the delivery truck using a forklift, dolly, or by hand.
- Complete accurate paperwork for deliveries made.
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip truck inspections.
- May be required to operate a company vehicle.
- Other duties that may be assigned.
- Must have experience with installing appliances (Refrigerators, Washing Machines, etc.)
Qualifications:
- MUST HAVE A CLEAN RECORD (No felonies or Misdemeanors) AND THE ABILITY TO PASS A URINALYSIS
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Must have at least 1 year of experience driving a company vehicle (preferred) or have experience operating a 26 ft. delivery vehicle.
- Must be able to read and write in English
- MUST BE PHYSICALLY FIT; this job requires heavy lifting daily
- Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds and carry up to 200 feet in distance frequently
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, balance, twist or turn while driving and/or on duty
