PharmcareUSA of Grand Junction, CO is seeking a part-time Delivery Driver.
PharmcareUSA is a national, closed- door, long term care pharmacy business with locations in multiple states. We are privately owned and continue to grow each year, providing daily deliveries to nursing and assisted living facilities as well as hospice residents. We are passionate about what we do and are looking for staff with the same attribute. Here at PharmcareUSA we strive to take care of our own staff as well as the customers we serve.
Pay is $17/hour
Monday-Wednesday 4pm-1am and every 4th Saturday
Job Summary: The purpose of this position is to deliver medications to customer facilities and to return any items to the pharmacy as requested by the pharmacy director or the customer facility.
Essential Functions:
- Pack final medication orders into delivery totes in preparation for delivery
- Ensure all pharmacy items are securely delivered to the nursing facility and ensure any necessary returns are securely brought back to the pharmacy
- Interact with customers to obtain all required documentation for the delivery of the product
- Maintain the company vehicle, including but not limited to cleaning interior/exterior, state inspections as required, oil changes, tire inspections, routine maintenance, etc.
- Keep accurate and up-to-date driving records, including but not limited to mileage logs and gas receipts
- Observe speed limits, obey all road signs and state/city driving laws
- Check off delivery manifests for pharmacy products
- Be available for on-call stat deliveries
- Will comply with all Corporate Initiatives and utilize provided tools/resources as appropriate
Job Specifications:
- Minimum of high school diploma or GED equivalent
- Clean driving record
- Good computer skills
- Previous driver experience preferred
Physical Demands:
- Sitting in a stationary position (while driving) at least 60% of the time
- Regularly move/traverse inside the office while preparing totes for delivery 20% of the time
- Climbing in and out of delivery vehicles 10% of the time
- Walking to and from the vehicle and the customer facility 10% of the time
- Must be able to talk and hear to communicate with customers and drive safely 100% of the time
- Must be able to see for preparing delivery orders, as well as to drive vehicle 100% of the time
- Frequently lifts/carries delivery totes of up to 75 pounds between the pharmacy, the vehicle, and the facility 20% of the time
