As a Driver/Warehouse Support team member, your primary responsibility is to ensure that inventory is delivered to or picked up from customers in a courteous, safe and efficient manner, while providing the highest possible level of customer service. Once you are done with your route, you may assist the team with picking and loading orders for the next day’s delivery.
Desired Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Math competency and ability to maintain statistical accuracy
- Possess a valid driver’s license, a good driving record, and be 18 years of age (or older if required by State law)
- Must possess interpersonal skills necessary to effectively handle customers in a positive, service-oriented fashion
- Operate material handling equipment
- Knowledge of city and outlying delivery area
- Work with minimum supervision to no supervision
- Analyze administrative details and correct routine errors
- Write in a neat, legible fashion
Physical Demands

Key Responsibilities…Daily:
- Checks with Warehouse Shipping Manager on assigned delivery schedule for the day
- Inspects delivery truck to ensure safe operation, i.e. tires, lights, brakes, etc
- Fills out Vehicle Inspection Report and gives to Warehouse Shipping Manager
- Verifies securing of all materials and accuracy of documents in delivery truck
- Follows safe driving practices while operating delivery truck
- Delivers orders to the customers in the most efficient route possible
- Ensures delivery order is checked in with customer accurately when requested by customer
- Calls all customers with ETA before driving to next delivery location
- Matches all material on P.O.’s to product being picked up to avoid discrepancies when time allows
- Communicates with appropriate person on any questions or concerns about product pickups
- Maintains communication with company during deliveries to ensure any updated instructions are received
- Ensures interior and exterior of delivery truck are kept clean
- Fill company trucks with gas after final delivery/pickup, before returning to warehouse for the day
- Listens effectively to any customer concerns and notifies Warehouse Shipping Manager of customer’s concerns
- Checks with Warehouse Manager on any assignments that need to be completed for the day
- Pulls customer orders in the warehouse in an accurate and timely fashion
- Follows double check procedure on all order pulls
- Readies company vehicles efficiently and accurately for next day
- Safely operates forklift and other warehouse equipment as required
- Maintains a consistent and positive customer service image when interacting with customers
- Maintains a professional attitude and appearance at all times
