Form of workDakota Supply Group (DSG) is seeking a Non-CDL Delivery Driver in our Sioux City, IA location. In this full-time, hourly position, work is typically performed between the hours of 8am and 5pm, Monday through Friday, but may vary on occasion according to business needs. As a Delivery Driver, you will work in all aspects of warehouse operations, with the primary duty of delivering products to customers and job sites, which includes the loading, unloading, securing, and transporting of such materials.DSG is a people-centric, customer-obsessed, and growth-focused wholesale distributor.

We are proud to be 100% employee-owned, with an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) that gives our employee-owners a unique opportunity to build their personal wealth in addition to a traditional retirement plan.A Typical Day in the Life of a Non-CDL Delivery Driver at DSG: Load delivery truck in a safe manner, according to company policy Work with warehouse associates to communicate how products should be loaded Inspect truck & trailer according to company policy and DOT standards, to ensure it is in good working order Immediately communicate any vehicle safety and/or maintenance issues to the supervisor Communicate with customers regarding delivery dates & times Drive to various customer locations, typically within 150 miles of branch location Unload materials at customers' places of business and/or warehouses, as per customer instruction Stay compliant with DOT/FMCSA and OSHA regulations including completion of training activities as required by DSG policy and/or regulatory authorities Adhere to DSG's safety policy and vehicle safety program Maintain a good driving record Assist in all aspects of warehouse operations when not out on delivery: Accurately pull products to fill orders in a timely manner Pack, label, and put filled orders in proper locations for delivery Operate forklift Use a computer and RF scanner to check on the status, availability, and location of the product Perform other duties as assignedA Successful Non-CDL Delivery Driver typically has: A valid Driver's License with the ability to obtain a medical card (required). Basic product and warehouse/delivery knowledge normally acquired in one to three years of applicable experience. Attention to detail. The ability to plan, prioritize, and organize work effectively to work efficiently under pressure and time deadlines. Safety training on material handling and forklift driving. Strong interpersonal, customer service, and communication skills. A physical ability to lift, push, pull, or move items weighing 70-325lbs. with the aid of a mechanical device or another person.
