Starting $34,000-$40,000 PLUS Commission
Position Summary:
This Route Delivery Driver will be responsible for driving a truck or automobile over an established route to deliver and sell products and/or render services to our client base. The goal of this position is to provide the maximum amount of service to clients in order to exceed customer expectations.
Essential Job Functions:
- Drive the truck to deliver items such as bottled water, salt, tanks, and other Company products to customer homes and/or businesses.
- Work closely with Sales and Customer Service personnel to take appropriate and immediate action to satisfy orders, delivery, and quality.
- Must be dependable, organized, and customer service-oriented.
- Follow established safety procedures.
- Writing customer order and instructions.
- Performs and communicated routine maintenance needs on trucks.
- Record sales and delivery information daily.
- Preform standard customer equipment checks on functionality.
- Generate a minimum of 2 new accounts a month.
- Perform a 10-point inspection on salt delivery.
- Guarantee all ordered equipment is in line with customer orders, which includes complying with modifications, when necessary.
- Maintain open and positive communications internally with supervisors and peers as well as externally with customers, vendors, and other partners.
- Seek opportunities for additional sales.
- Accurately prepare order forms and sales contracts
- Inform regular customers of new products or services.
- Stocking and restocking shelves or racks in the warehouse and/or set up merchandise displays or issue sales.
- Listens to and resolves customer complaints, while escalating major concerns to the Service Manager.
- Create and maintain a positive workforce and open door environment conducive to enhanced employee moral, productivity, creativity, and support.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment, presentable to any client, customer, or auditor at any time.
- Collects or picks up empty containers or rejected or unsold merchandise.
- Loads and unloads trucks with forklifts or by hand.
- Cleans inside and outside of trucks and products delivered.
- Ensure compliance with Company policies, as well as recommending policy adaptations, when appropriate.
- Maintain and safeguard the Company assets (plant, fleet, equipment, and other inventory).
