Delivery Driver (Part Time) - Kansas City, Mo

We have an immediate opportunity for a Part TimeDelivery Driver in our Kansas City, MO area!

BioTrans LLC is a global logistics provider specializing in cold chain transportation, technology and infrastructure for the life sciences industry.

Shift: Start times as early as 3:00 am. Monday, Tuesday Route Deilveries, out of state travel.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Safely operate, load, unload and deliver freight utilizing a small box truck or cargo van.
• Adhere to assigned routes and follow time sensitive schedules that require detailed attention.
• Maintain a strong commitment to safety.
• Ability to navigate surrounding areas using GPS and comfortable with scanning devices.
• Comfortable climbing into and out of vehicles repeatedly with no difficulties. Able to lift, bend, stop, twist, move, push and pull up to 40 pounds; tolerate prolonged sitting while driving.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections; fuel the truck as needed; evaluate and report issues through the appropriate parties (dispatch/ managers).
• Warehouse duties - Clean, wash and sanitize assigned vehicles. Vehicle maintenance and inspections.

The work is characterized as light work. Exerting up to 40 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Minimum Requirements and Employee Expectations

• Must be at least 21+ years of Age
• Valid driver's license
• Acceptable driving record (2 or fewer moving violations in the past 3 years and no DWI/DUI in the past 5 years for insurance purposes).
• Successful completion of a background check and drug screening.
• Ability to use smartphones and willingness to learn our company’s workflow-related applications.
• Basic computer, tablet and/or smartphone skills and GPS and other routing systems
• Experience driving cargo vans and box trucks.
• Be a quick learner, detail-oriented, dependable, have a positive attitude
• Communication proficiency - Able to follow verbal and written directions
• Must NOT be restricted for access on military bases and government facilities

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
