Schedule: Part-time shifts Friday/Saturday/Sunday/Monday. Opening and closing shifts are available
Pay Range- $16.00 per hour with additional compensation for experiance

Provide superior service while preparing healthy food and beverage options for your customers. You must have superior customer service skills and ability to work independently with speed and accuracy. Experience working in a deli or beverage department preferred. Serve safe certification is a plus.

Requirements:

  • Prepare sandwiches and other daily offerings following specifications of recipes
  • Prep for the sandwiches and the salad bar
  • Serve customers from the deli case, including slicing meat and cheese
  • Be sure signage is accurate for what is prepared; notify management if change is needed
  • Keep the department’s retail area fully stocked by preparing and refilling containers as needed
  • Cross train with other employees to ensure knowledge and support for department operations. This includes being trained in the Beverage bar.

Department Maintenance

  • Ensure food prep, work area, utensils, equipment and display areas are maintained in sanitary, orderly condition meeting or exceeding health department standards
  • Follow USDA and NH State Law regarding the use, labeling, and handling of allergens
  • Follow standard Sanitation Operating Procedures schedule including: deep cleaning schedules, good health department scores, pest awareness and control, equipment maintenance
  • Ensure proper storage and labeling procedures as per health department and organic standards
  • Participate in inventory counts as directed by management
  • Follow and update opening and closing checklists
  • Monitor temperatures in cooler and cases
  • Clean and maintain work areas, utensils and equipment
  • Pull old or low-quality items; record and properly dispose of them, following established procedures

Qualifications

  • Regularly lift 50lbs safely
  • Ability to be mobile throughout entire shifts
  • Bend, squat, stoop, kneel, or crouch
  • Ability to communicate with customers and coworkers
  • Sufficient vision to perform your job safely and accurately
  • Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
  • Operate equipment such as slicers, toasters
  • Add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Familiarity and knowledge of current trends in the natural foods industry
  • Experience serving the public in a deli, restaurant, or catering business
