Job Description
Purpose of internship: (Main objectives/expected outcomes)
The main objective is to help adapt a data information system instance for the USAID-funded PROPEL Youth and Gender project in a platform new to IYF (called Knack). This will entail learning about the Knack system and adapting the current indicators and adding others to align with the USAID-approved list of indicators for the project. The outcome will be a data collection system that is fully configured for PROPEL Youth and Gender, and ready for data entry.
Tasks and responsibilities of intern:
- Learn about the Knack data system
- Compare current indicators in the system with the approved PROPEL Youth and Gender indicator list
- Edit current and add new indicators to create a comprehensive indicator set aligned with the USAID-approved indicator list for PROPEL Youth and Gender
- Test the system with prospective users
AS TIME ALLOWS:
- *Adapt the system as needed for useability
- *Create brief user guide
Relevant skills and qualifications required:
- Experience with varied data collection systems
- Aptitude for and comfort with learning new systems
- Willingness to learn about the unique data needs for tracking performance progress in projects on policy, advocacy, finance and governance, including linking documents for verification
Hours per week: 10-20

- This task will require working very closely with the MERL leads for the project
