Headlines:
The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Specialist, located in Milwaukee, WI, will drive the development, design, and implementation of initiatives that foster a diverse and inclusive workplace culture, and enhance the ability to recruit, develop and retain a high-performing, diverse workforce. The role will regularly work with and report out to the senior leadership team on the metrics/success of the program as aligned with the North America DEI Roadmap and Action Plan.

The role reports to the DEI Program Manager and is critical in fostering a diverse and inclusive work environment where all employees feel valued, respected, and have equal opportunities for growth and development, regardless of their backgrounds or identities, and address issues related to bias, discrimination, and inequality.

The Responsibilities:
  • Execute a strategic plan to enhance diversity, equity, and inclusion and attract, hire and retain a diverse workforce.
  • Provide diversity and inclusion training to employees to increase awareness and sensitivity.
  • Collect and analyze data on diversity and inclusion metrics to measure progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Support and coordinate employee resource groups (ERGs) to foster inclusion and belonging.
  • Collaborate with external organizations and communities to promote DEI.

The Other Qualifications:
  • You have a minimum of three (3) years of DEI, HR, or program management experience; with a full or partial focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • You have experience working with ERGs.
  • You love a challenge and complete complex projects quickly and adeptly with your understanding of the business priorities.
  • You have strong project management, teamwork, execution, and organizational skills; ability to operationalize and scale programs.
  • You are an excellent communicator (written and oral) with the ability to manage messaging and can comfortably present to leaders at all levels.
  • You have a flexible work style to manage multiple priorities, tight deadlines, and last-minute changes with a strong sense of urgency.
  • You build relationships and collaborate across a multi-location organization to get to the desired outcome.
