THE POSITION
The expert Engineer will Serve on the Integrated Information Management Systems Information Technology Support Services (IIMS-ITSS) contract as a National Military Command Center (NMCC) Command, Control and Communications (C3) Analytical Support System Engineer, responsible for assisting the government in providing trend analysis, problem management and gap analysis of fielded National Military Command Systems (NMCS).

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Responsible for providing high level technical systems engineering support and providing trend analysis related to NMCS and their support to include applying advanced, Information Technology (IT) skills in the analysis, and specification of NMCS, identifying existing faulty processes and areas of concern (often highlighted by repeated incidents and problems) in direct support of enabling the NMCC to effectively conduct NMCS Mission Essential Functions (MEF)/Mission Essential Tasks (MET)
  • Ability to effectively conduct problem management efforts on NMCS with the goals of solving underlying issues discovered during trend analysis and making those issues known resulting in the successful diagnosis of the problem and either a workaround or a permanent resolution being identified
  • Conduct a requirements gap analysis to reveal limitations in current field systems in meeting the Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff (CJCS) and NMCS MEFs/METs resulting in providing recommendations on configuration changes based on technical and operational risk assessments
  • Collaborate with multiple customers and stakeholders to properly identify problems and operational impacts, recommend actions to resolve issues, implement fix actions, change procedures, update documentation and conduct After Action Reviews to prevent problems or issues from reoccurring
  • Exercise sound independent judgment in developing methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria associated with obtaining results under this contract; and identifying needs, and anticipating customer requirements by effectively planning, scheduling, and overseeing analytical analysis
  • Establish goals and plans that meet project objectives applying domain and expert technical knowledge. Direct and control activities for a client, having overall responsibility to ensure that technical requirements are met.
  • Compliance with all safety and security requirements, policies, and procedures; worksite access protocols and updates, training requirements, required certifications, and other duties/projects as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum Active Top-Secret SCI Clearance, AND;
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business or other related scientific, AND;
  • 4 years of experience providing systems engineering/analytical support, OR;
  • NO Degree AND 10 years of equivalent technical experience providing systems engineering/analytical support in network and military systems environments ensuring deep knowledge of and mission success in support of DoD unclassified/classified environments;
