SalaryESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibility A: Assists with maintenance of the Decision Support System.
- Performs daily maintenance, including posting, of charge detail and payment and adjustment transactions.
- Performs monthly processing of the hospital general ledger details.
- Audits data for accuracy.
- Assists departments with understanding of Decision Support & cost accounting information.
- Assists with system upgrades.
- Assists with developing and updating department cost standards.
- Prepares monthly financial and statistical reports.
- Prepares ad hoc financial analyses.
- Performs special projects as assigned by the Manager of Decision Support.
- Assists in the analysis and interpretation of data used in making decisions throughout the organization.
Knowledge and Skills
- Basic knowledge and understanding of cost accounting and financial accounting.
- Ability to use Microsoft applications including Excel.
- The ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing is essential.
Education
- Bachelor's Degree (finance, accounting, business or healthcare) required
- Master's Degree preferred
- 2 years finance, accounting, or related business field
Experience offset:
