This role provides administrative support to the college dean and other professional staff within the Dean's Office. Duties include a variety of administrative day-to-day tasks such as handling general inquiries and office correspondence, coordination of department activities, management of department calendars, scheduling meetings, purchasing office supplies, assisting with payroll and student employment processes, overseeing informational and record-keeping tasks, receiving and distributing mail and other tasks as requested.

To thrive in this role, candidates need to be self-motivated, able to provide superior customer service and have skills in organization, time management, and software generally used in an office environment (Microsoft office and Google Suite). You should value team-work and strive to deliver services efficiently and accurately and be adept at problem solving. You must be able to respond to issues concerning a diverse group of people. The ideal candidate will be able to quickly learn and adapt to new procedures and technologies.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate's degree in business, office management or related field and two years of progressively responsible office and administrative experience; or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
Position Details:
This position is located on the Troth Yedda campus in Fairbanks, AK. This is a full-time, FLSA non-exempt benefited staff position complete with a competitive salary and full employee benefits package. New hires will be UA staff salary schedule, Grade 77, based on education and experience.
