Dealer Trade Driver

Town Auto Group is seeking a reliable and responsible individual to join our team as a Dealer Trade Driver. In the Dealer Trade Driver role, you will be responsible for transporting vehicles between dealerships and ensuring timely and safe delivery. Our dealerships schedule Dealer Trade Drivers based on dealership needs and employee availability.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Drive to and from dealerships to pick up and/or drop off vehicles.
• Ensure proper paperwork is exchanged and copies of dealer invoices accompany paperwork for each vehicle.
• Confirm vehicle identification numbers and stock number of each vehicle match the paperwork.
• Verify all reference guides, keys, wheel locks, etc., accompany all traded vehicles.
• Ensure vehicles contain all equipment as listed on the invoice.
• Inspect vehicles being traded to substantiate vehicles are clean and undamaged before leaving the lot. Damages include scratches, dings, tears, cuts, scrapes, rock chips in the windshield, etc.
• Perform other duties as assigned and adapt as needed.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid Washington State Driver’s License or equivalent. All licenses must be converted to a Washington State License within 30 days of employment.
• Clean driving record to meet insurability standards
• Willing to submit to a pre-employment background check & drug screen
• Ability to operate both manual and automatic transmission vehicles
• Ability to work shift work and weekends

Work Environment:

As part of the essential duties, this position requires operating motor vehicles and working with hazardous, fatal materials. The employee’s essential duties are such that impairment caused by drugs or alcohol could result in significant injury or death.

The Dealer Trade Driver will drive in varying weather conditions, such as rain or snow. This role requires multiple hours of driving. The individual must be comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
