Overview

The Deal Desk Analyst is a very important role within our contract and pricing group.  As the Deal Desk Anaylst you will be responsible for creating and maintaining accurate pricing and contract data inside the CPQ module of Salesforce.  You will be responsible for assisting sales in navigating complex internal and/or external requirements to structure mutually beneficial agreements with prospects and customers. #LI-Hybrid #LI-Remote

 

Starting base pay for this role is between $65,000 and $80,000. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as transferable skills, work experience, business needs, training, location, and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role will be eligible for a bonus as well as competitive medical, dental, and vision benefits, wellness reimbursement, life insurance, and a 401(k) with company match. We offer vacation and sick leave benefits (under a flexible time off policy in most states).

Responsibilities
  • Ensure accuracy of opportunities within CRM for forecasting, bookings and compensation purposes
  • The Deal Desk is responsible for contract creation through the deal management process which includes new customers, renewals, amendments, and other pricing related documents
  • Responsible for drafting all Pricing, Statements of Work, User Agreements and Amendments
  • Manage pipeline integrity/accuracy, review CPQ cleanup dashboard regularly, and provide CPQ reporting as needed
  • Supports all commercial related activities including, but not limited to, deal structuring, contract creation, pricing, review, and approval for offers, contract management and providing support to field sales for quoting purposes.  
  • Act as a Sales-facing subject matter expert on process, policy, and pricing related matters
  • Reviews, interprets, and confirms contract terms and conditions; works closely with finance and legal teams to ensure all contracts are accurate.
  • Assist Sales teams in creating and positioning complex orders, which involves acting as the liaison between Sales and other key stakeholders involved in the deal structuring process (e.g. Sales Operations, Finance, Legal, Service, etc.)
  • Handles day-to-day queries from groups including, sales, sales development and account management teams using quoting tools and/or CRM system.
  • Resolves problems through research, consulting with internal support teams, to identify the appropriate tools for success.
  • Participate in SOW review process to ensure customer facing documents are consistent with predefined standards and guidelines
  • Ensure that transactions adhere to Origami's internal revenue recognition policies and operations
  • Monitors the Sales Support Slack channel and pricing inbox to provide general assistance and advice on common deal questions and Quote to Cash process questions
  • Partners with Sales Operations and Sales teams to facilitate process and system improvements
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • 2+ years experience required, working in a Deal Desk or Contracts and Pricing role
  • Bachelor's Degree required, in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • Previous Salesforce experience required; Salesforce CPQ experience a plus.
  • Very detail oriented especially with numbers
  • Ability to think from both a strategic and tactical perspective.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and partners across the organization.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgement and make business decisions effectively.
