DCW (Direct Care Worker)

Job Summary:
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Direct Care Workers, in a youth group home setting. As a Direct Care Worker, you will provide care and support to youth in need, assisting them with daily activities and ensuring their well-being. The youth are females between 10-17. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of others. Non Medical homes.

Responsibilities:
- Provide care and support to youth.
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs).

- Ability to make the youth feel at home and a family setting.
- Assist with meal preparation and cooking
- Engage in meaningful activities with individuals to promote socialization and mental stimulation
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and any observed changes in condition
- Collaborate with case managers and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care

Requirements:

- Must be 21 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in Direct Care or a related field is preferred
- Ability to effectively manage conflicts and resolve issues in a calm and professional manner
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks as required
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
