ON SITE: 2 days a /week required.
Parking not provided for contractors but there are paid parking lots available downtown.
DBHDS are looking to fill TWO contract to hire roles, approximate date of hire within 6 months of start
If selected, salary conversion for the full-time role ranges up to $95k with full benefits.
The contractors are welcomed to apply for the full-time role (which will be posted on the agency's website) HOWEVER no guarantees the contractor will be selected for the full time role. The contractor will need to apply directly and go thru the agency's interview process for the full-time role if they are interested.
ABOUT THE ROLE
IT Procurement Officer
Job Description:
We are seeking two qualified and motivated individuals to join our team as an IT Procurement Officer/Analysts. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing IT procurements, ensuring adherence to all applicable laws, policies, and procedures. This position involves facilitating the IT RFP evaluation process, collaborating with stakeholders, and serving as a subject matter expert in IT procurement matters.
Key Responsibilities/Day to Day:
1. Process IT procurements using various procurement methods, including Mandatory Source, Single Quote, Quick Quote, IFB, RFP, Sole Source, and Emergency.
2. Follow the procurement process in compliance with relevant laws, policies, and procedures outlined in the BuyIT Manual, PAS Desktop Procedures, and DBHDS Departmental Instruction.
3. Lead the IT RFP evaluation process, conducting necessary evaluation activities to determine the suitable supplier for negotiations.
4. Consult with PAS Leadership and VITA SCM on procurement-related issues and concerns.
5. Develop and execute negotiation strategies in collaboration with end users.
6. Serve as the IT Procurement subject matter expert, educating and guiding PAS and end users on procurement processes, legal compliance, confidentiality, and ethical standards.
7. Collaborate with end users to review and correct deficiencies in requirements, statements of work, and purchase requisitions.
8. Maintain regular communication with end users, providing status updates and addressing issues during the procurement process.
9. Consult with PAS Deputy Director or Director on complex and/or high-profile projects.
10. Contact suppliers as needed to resolve issues and discrepancies in a timely manner.
