SalaryJob description: The early childhood teacher is responsible for the planning and supervision of a group of children. The teacher will use play and other instructional techniques to support children’s development in all domains (cognitive, physical, language, and social emotional).
Responsibilities include:
- Preparing and implementing weekly lesson plans.
- Develop schedules and routines to ensure children have enough physical activity, rest, and playtime.
- Provide an environment in which children can feel comfortable, relaxed, happy and involved in play, recreation and other activities.
- Defining measurable outcomes to evaluate each child's progress.
- Work with children in groups or one on one, depending on the needs of children and the subject matter.
- Use of positive discipline and guidance techniques.
- Attend professional developments
