Duties
- Monitoring/supervising children who are placed in your care.
- Ensuring that the daycare classroom is kept clean
- Providing food and snacks for children at appropriate snack and meal times.
- Providing positive guidance and redirection.
- Administering first aid to children at the occurrence of any injury
- Keeping children clean. Changing soiled diapers and clothes if applicable.
- Introducing children to new, age-appropriate activities and materials
- Sanitizing all toys and play areas after use.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of professional child care experience, however could train the right person.
- Great communication skills a must
- High energy and the ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment.
- Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification preferred, but not required.
- Must clear full background check and must pass health screening.
- Requirements include the ability to take frequent walks, use hands and fingers, handle objects, tools or controls, talk to and hear voices at many levels. May also be required to kneel, bend, squat or crawl.
- A specific vision ability will be required including the ability to see up close and up to a certain distance, to see colors, have peripheral vision and depth perception.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Nice To Haves
CPR/Pediatric 1st Aid preferred
Early Education education/experience preferred, but not required.
