Title: Daycare Teacher - Home Daycare
Hours: Part time ~ 24-30 hours/week
Schedule: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday 8 am-4:30 pm

Job Description:
Seeking a dedicated part time Daycare Teacher to join our licensed Home Daycare in Hot Springs, Arkansas. The successful candidate will work on a team of 2-3 teachers with a classroom size of up to 16 children. The children may range in age from 0-5 but the majority will be around 2 years old. Our daycare uses learning centers to divide the classroom into dedicated areas of play and learning with each area focused on a different skill, such as gross motor, STEM, dramatic pretend play, arts and crafts, and reading. The teacher will be responsible for maintaining a safe and healthy environment for all the children to learn and grow.
Responsibilities:
- Care for 16 children ages 0-5 with co-teacher.
- Follow all licensing requirement such as maintaining teacher ratios, performing tornado and fire drills, and following behavior guidance policies.
- Prepare meals and snacks for the children.
- Complete daycare related housekeeping tasks, such as cleaning and sanitizing, dishwashing, and meal prep.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for the children.
- Follow a schedule for meals, indoor and outdoor playtime, snacks and naps.
- Teach hygiene and toilet-training to the children.
- Handle basic grooming, dressing, and diapering of children.
- Accurately document children's feeding, diapering, and play activities as well as reporting any incidents.
- Lead a circle time activity including talking and listening to children and teaching preschool concepts in a fun and engaging way.
- Create and present curriculum activities.
Qualifications:
- Some Early Childhood Education classes preferred
- Age 21 and up required
- 1 or more years of experience with young children
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to pass a background check and child maltreatment checks
