Daycare Teacher

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Daycare Teacher to join our team. As a Daycare Teacher, you will be responsible for providing a safe and nurturing environment for children while promoting their social, emotional, and intellectual development. Duties:

- Create and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities to engage children in learning and play

- Provide a structured daily routine that includes educational, recreational, and restful activities

- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect, cooperation, and empathy

- Monitor children's behavior and address any issues or concerns promptly and effectively

- Collaborate with parents to ensure open communication regarding their child's progress and development

- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment that is conducive to learning and safety

- Follow all daycare policies and procedures, including those related to health, safety, and emergency protocols

Qualifications:

- Previous experience working with children in a daycare or educational setting is REQUIRED - Must have at least one year of experience working in a child care center.

- Must meet MSDE guidelines for a child care teacher : including 90-hour coursework and ADA training

- Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices

- Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies

- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues

- Ability to adapt to the individual needs of each child in order to provide personalized care and support

- Certification or degree in early childhood education or a related field is a plus

Pay: $16.84 - $17.53 per hour
