We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our team at a small, privately owned preschool. We are not a chain, but a small business. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a safe and nurturing environment for our students, assisting with the daily routine, and supporting the teachers in the classrooms. The ideal candidate will have experience working with young children, a passion for teaching, and the ability to create a fun, safe and engaging learning environment.
Responsibilities:
- Create a safe and stimulating learning environment for children.
- Plan and implement activities that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children with the support of a lead teacher.
- Observe and evaluate children's performance, behavior, social development, and physical health.
- Use compassion to advocate for children in all their needs.
- Communicate with parents effectively, but positively.
- Instruct children in basic skills such as color recognition, counting, and the alphabet.
Requirements to work in childcare include CPR/First Aid, Food Handlers, MERIT account, High School Diploma/GED, 18 years or older.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
