Responsibilities
- Assisting in observation and assessment of children's development along with team.
- Work with the team to analyze and plan classroom curriculum based on individual children's developmental needs and interests.
- Maintain the learning enviornment to reflect the culture of children, families staff and community and meet indicidual group needs.
- Implement and supervise developmentally appropriate learning activities.
- As part of the classroom team, build positive relationships with children, families, and staff.
- Along with team, plan guidance strategies for children.
- Plan with team on how to engage families as partners in their children's education.
Qualifications
- Washington State Early Childhood Education Initial Certificate or higher OR DCYF (MERIT) approved equivalent.
- If not fully qualified, must have a minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent AND be on a Professional Development Plan to meet qualifications within 5 years from the date of hire.
- First aid/CPR certified
- Food Handlers card
- TB test/MMR vaccine
- Back ground check
