Job duties
- Deliver high-quality medical care to hospitalized patients, conducting initial assessments, daily rounds, and ongoing management.
- Perform thorough physical examinations and diagnostic evaluations to formulate precise diagnoses and treatment plans.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated patient care, involving nurses, specialists, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests to aid in patient diagnosis and management.
- Prescribe medications and treatments tailored to individual patient needs, following evidence-based guidelines.
- Monitor patients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed for optimal outcomes and timely discharge.
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment options, medications, and follow-up care plans.
- Accurately document patient care activities in the electronic medical record system.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, peer review, and ongoing professional development.
Qualifications:
- MD/DO with unrestricted medical license required.
- Board Certification or board eligible in Internal Medicine/Family Medicine Required
- 3 to 4 years of experience in an in-patient healthcare setting is highly desirable.
- Extensive knowledge of the health and aging process
- Demonstrates practical interpersonal communication skills.
- Brings an innovative approach to work, can “think outside the box.”
- Takes a team approach in accomplishing treatment goals.
- Possesses strong clinical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Demonstrates sound judgment in anticipating problems or adverse outcomes; takes appropriate corrective action.
