Day Shift Loaf Powder Handler

Bongards Premium Cheese is looking for a dedicated, dynamic and experienced individual to perform as our Powder Handler on our processed Loaf cheese line.

Job Duties

• Dumpling of 50 lb. bags of ingredients into feed hopper or blenders
• Data recording of lot numbers for all ingredients added to the blender
• Maintain immediate work area in a neat and orderly fashion
• Responsible for the removal of garbage and used bags from the work area
• Must be able to pass fork lift training and maintain a license
• Must keep in communication with the grinder operator
• Assist in other areas as necessary
• All other duties as assigned by the supervisor or lead person
• Notify maintenance as necessary in the event of a breakdown.
• Perform all work in a safe and efficient manner.
• Follow all GMP’s, SOP’s, and Safety Guidelines when performing all work.

Other requirements

• High school diploma or equivalents
• Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Must demonstrate excellent communication skills.
• Must adhere to and follow all GMP’s, SOP’s, and Safety Guidelines when performing all work.
• Must report all food safety problems to immediate supervisor or their designated replacement.
• Must demonstrate a commitment of both food and employee safety.

Physical capabilities

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. frequently.
• Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs. occasionally.
• Must be able to climb ladders occasionally.
