Bongards Premium Cheese is looking for a dedicated, dynamic and experienced individual to perform as our Powder Handler on our processed Loaf cheese line.
Job Duties
- Dumpling of 50 lb. bags of ingredients into feed hopper or blenders
- Data recording of lot numbers for all ingredients added to the blender
- Maintain immediate work area in a neat and orderly fashion
- Responsible for the removal of garbage and used bags from the work area
- Must be able to pass fork lift training and maintain a license
- Must keep in communication with the grinder operator
- Assist in other areas as necessary
- All other duties as assigned by the supervisor or lead person
- Notify maintenance as necessary in the event of a breakdown.
- Perform all work in a safe and efficient manner.
- Follow all GMP’s, SOP’s, and Safety Guidelines when performing all work.
Other requirements
- High school diploma or equivalents
- Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Must demonstrate excellent communication skills.
- Must adhere to and follow all GMP’s, SOP’s, and Safety Guidelines when performing all work.
- Must report all food safety problems to immediate supervisor or their designated replacement.
- Must demonstrate a commitment of both food and employee safety.
Physical capabilities
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. frequently.
- Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs. occasionally.
- Must be able to climb ladders occasionally.
