What is a Hospital Cleaner in Environmental Services?
Hospital Cleaners serve a vital role in making a difference by ensuring a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors. This is a fast-paced position that requires interacting and communicating with others while sanitizing patient rooms and public spaces throughout the hospital. Previous experience in housekeeping or commercial cleaning is ideal but not required. Join the team at Central Minnesota’s largest employer!
Pay:
- Wage rates start at $16.73+ depending on experience.

Duties:
- Hospital cleaners sanitize rooms after patients are discharged. Tasks include: vacuuming, mopping, changing bedding and re-stocking bathrooms. Rooms must be cleaned thoroughly to ensure patient, visitor and staff safety.
- Position includes working with chemicals and coming in contact with bodily fluids.
- PPE is required and provided to protect your health and safety!

Qualifications:
- Ability to read, write simple task requests and reports, and communicate well with others required.
- Ability to take initiative and work independently
- Excellent time management skills and detail-oriented
- Must be at least 18 years of age due to handling of cleaning chemicals and operating mechanical lifts
- High School Diploma or GED or equivalent
Education:
