POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Director, and consistent with the Christian Mission of the YMCA, the Camp Leadership Staff is responsible for assisting with the training and supervision of the summer camp staff, staff training, and the supervision of all seasonal staff. Through effective supervision and close attention to program quality & staff supervision, the Day Camp Administrative Staff will assure that Camp budgetary and quality goals are achieved.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Assist with orientating, supervising, training, and evaluating summer staff
- Assist with the Management/Supervision the daily activities of the counselors throughout the summer
- Assist with the development, coordination and implementation of staff training (staff week, OSHA, and YMCA)
- Assist in providing safe and high quality programs for Day Camp
- Assist with the supervision of staff - operations and parental communication
- Assist with Spiritual components of camp - including devotions and worship services

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least one year of college completed.
- 3 to 5 years work experience in a camp environment.
- Supervisory Experience preferred including recruiting, training, performance management
- Computer Skills including Excel, Word, and PageMaker
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 1-year minimum in a leadership role preferred.
