Database Engineer

Seeking an experienced Database Engineerto import and maintain very large data sets. This includes communicating with personnel from states’ public records departments to understand their data architecture, and creating automated processes to validate, translate and import the data into our in-house database, and QA procedures to verify accuracy. The Database Developer is also responsible for debugging legacy SQL and backups.

Experience and Preferred Attributes include:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent on-the-job experience
• 4+ years’ experience working with Microsoft SQL including bulk importing delimited and XML data using BCP, DTS and stored procedures
• 4+ years’ experience working in a professional SDLC environment
• Facility with Elasticsearch, MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Big Data Solutions, Python, Cloud Solutions (AWS RDS preferred), Dynamics 365, .NET development, SSRS
• Prior experience in risk management, compliance, UCC, public record, finance or legal industry
• Strong communication skills with reading, writing, speaking and command of the English language
• Solid time management skills and initiative to resolve problems by communicating promptly and driving projects forward
• Demonstrated excellent coding habits including documentation of work, adherence to best practices, and a willingness to share thoughts and experiences with the team members
