Database Developer (Onsite)

Key Responsibilities:

• Support a project aimed at enhancing our cash management processing procedures, which currently rely heavily on manual methods and are susceptible to human error
• Have transactional data, both incoming and outgoing, accessible through a user-friendly interface and easy searchability (ideally using Power Apps)
• Present data in a visual dashboard format, preferably utilizing Power BI or a similar platform
• Streamline the processing of incoming deposits received from employers and sending this data through to the cash management team for plan funding via a workflow that currently includes the review and approval of multiple printed documents
• Provide reconciliation with the original incoming deposits and flag any deposits not transferred to the cash management team 

Skills & Qualifications: 

• Proficiency in Oracle Database 19c or similar relational database management systems (RDBMS)
• Advanced knowledge of structured query language (SQL) for querying, updating, and managing data in the database
• Understanding of database design principles, normalization, and optimization techniques
• Experience in database performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization to ensure optimal performance

• Proficiency in web development languages such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Experience with server-side programming languages like PHP, Python, or Java for building dynamic web applications
• Familiarity with web frameworks and libraries, such as jQuery, React.js, or AngularJS for front-end development
• Ability to create and use APIs and web services for integrating web applications with back-end systems like the Oracle database

• Experience with data integration techniques, including Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes, data migration, and synchronization between systems
• Understanding of web service protocols like SOAP and REST for exchanging data between the CMS and other systems

• Strong analytical skills to understand complex requirements, identify technical challenges, and propose effective solutions
• Ability to troubleshoot and debug issues related to database connectivity, web application functionality, and CMS configuration

• Attention to detail and a systematic approach to testing, validation, and quality assurance of database-driven web applications

 
Location: Onsite role in West Columbia, SC.
The salary range for this position is $70,000 - $120,000. Actual compensation within that range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, and qualifications.
