- Design and manage the physical and logical architecture of data lake and data warehouse.
- Manage ETL processes for accessing new sources into data warehouse
- Data interface management
- Manage master data management processes
- Build scalable datamarts for application and analytics/business intelligence platforms to consume
- Document design and implementation of data warehouse.
- Maintenance of knowledgebase for cosnumsers of datamarts
- Champion automation and DevOps practices
- Provide assistance and daily direction to junior ETL developers.
- Conduct small group training sessions regarding data architecture and ETL development.
- Work with team to develop and implement standardized processes
- Backstop ETL Developers and DBAs in their duties.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIESTASK
REFERENCEIMPORTANCE Highly technical with a BS in Computer Science or 8 years of experience in data management. Masters preferred. All Required Expert in building and managing enterprise-level data integration and data transformation platforms - cloud experience preferred All Required Expert in Kimball dimentional data modeling, architecting and managing data warehouse and datamart schema (star/snowflake schama, OLAP cubes) All Required Passion for continuous quality improvement and leading organizational change through the use of data-driven decision making All Required Expert in implementing data warehousing methodologies using RDBMS (MSSQL, MySQL, Oracle, Postgres) systems. All Required BS in Computer Science/Engineering/Mathematics or related field required. Masters preferred. All Required Database administration expertise All Preferred Expert level ability to program in SQL (such as PLSQL, TSQL ) All Required Expert level experience in ETL development and standards. Proven skills in standardization of ETL development and execution for large-scale enterprise data sources All Required Experience with standard ETL tools such as SSIS, Informatica, ODI All Required Experience and knowledge of programming/scripting languages (e.g. Ruby, Python). All Required Experience with cloud hosted data management services and pipelines (AWS, Azure) All Preferred Practioner of automation and DevOps practices All Required Understanding of the full Business Intelligence development lifecycle.
Including an understanding of Business Intelligence tool functionality (SAP BO, Cognos, Tableau, QlikView); ability to install and manage BI software systems; experience architecting BI software suites. All Required Strong communication skills with a proven ability to understand key concepts and communicate effectively with technical staff, business stakeholders and senior management. Proven ability to communicate technical concepts to nontechnical people to enhance understanding and drive to decisions that lead to positive outcomes. ll Required Demonstrated interpersonal skills to work in a group environment, establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with all levels of staff and other department personnel.
