Database Administrator (Dba)

Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) to join our team! The Database Administrator (DBA) will be responsible for the development, performance, integrity, and security of data base systems of the company.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Database Management:

• Monitor database performance, conduct regular performance tuning, and optimize queries for maximum efficiency.
• Install, configure, and upgrade database software and related tools.
• Develop and implement database backup and recovery strategies to ensure data reliability and minimize downtime.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as database backups, index rebuilding, and statistics gathering.
• Manage and optimize healthcare databases to ensure the availability and reliability of critical organizational [website] actual and future.
• ETL processes to ensure optimization and best practices.
• Apply any coding recommendations and optimizations.

Data Security and Compliance:

• Develop and implement data security policies, procedures, and best practices to protect sensitive healthcare information.

Performance Optimization and Troubleshooting:

• Identify and resolve database performance issues, such as slow queries, inefficient indexing, or resource contention.
• Conduct database capacity planning to anticipate future storage and performance needs.
• Implement and maintain database monitoring tools to proactively identify and resolve issues.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of database systems, including schema, configurations, and standard operating procedures.
• Generate regular reports on database performance, usage, and security compliance for management and stakeholders.

Experience:

Also, the following experience is required to successfully execute the responsibilities assigned to this position:

• Experience generating complete backup plans for all databases and restoration plans.
• Experience in the daily monitoring of the satisfactory execution of the resguards.
• Experience managing database restoration tests for validation of back-up processes.
• Experience in managing database optimization processes.
• Experience in managing query optimization processes (queries).
• Experience analyzing and optimizing indexes, queries (queries), Stored Procedures and processes running on servers.
• Experience participating as a database specialist in new projects to ensure effective use of resources.
• Experience generating processes to automate data transfer.

Other Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of database management systems, such as Microsoft SQL Server, ETL and MySQL.
• Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries and optimizing database performance.
• Knowledge of Cloud Infrastructure.
• General knowledge of creating and maintaining reports/reports in: Reporting Services, Power BI.
• Knowledge to support problems with databases.
• Problem-solving skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail.
• The ability to prioritize tasks.

Education:

The employee must hold a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or related field. Minimum of 5 years of proven work experience as a Database Administrator, specifically in the technology industry.
