Atlas Tech, a veteran-owned IT company serving multiple DoD customers in support of America's warfighters, is looking for a Database Administrator to join our team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing our database systems, with a focus on Weblogic and Oracle. The role also involves proficiency in Dataverse, SQL, noSQL, and related programming languages. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of our database infrastructure, including experience in migrating and transitioning data to the cloud.
Pay Range: $120,000 - $165,000
Travel Up To - 20%
You Will:
- Administer and maintain Weblogic and Oracle database systems.
- Develop and implement database policies and procedures.
- Monitor database performance and optimize for efficiency.
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
- Implement and enforce security measures to protect the integrity of the database.
- Manage user access and permissions.
- Implement and maintain database backup and recovery strategies.
- Conduct regular data backups and test recovery procedures.
- Lead the migration and transition of data to cloud-based database solutions.
- Ensure data integrity and security during the migration process.
- Collaborate with development and IT teams to integrate database solutions.
- Analyze existing databases so that documentation can be updated
- Provide technical support to application developers.
You Have:
- Must be a US Citizen
- Must possess and maintain a Department of Defense (DOD) Secret Level Security Clearance or higher.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Database Administrator with expertise in Weblogic and Oracle 12c and higher.
- Experience developing and working with PL/SQL
- Proficiency in SQL and noSQL languages.
- Familiarity with related programming languages for database development.
- Strong understanding of Dataverse, SQL, noSQL, and relevant programming languages.
- Knowledge of database architecture, design, and best practices.
- Experience in migrating and transitioning data to cloud-based solutions.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Weblogic and Oracle 12c and higher database administration.
- Proficiency in Dataverse, SQL, and noSQL languages.
- Cloud database migration and transition experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Certification in database administration (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional).
- Familiarity with emerging database technologies.
- Experience with specific cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
