The Knowledge Management Lawyer (“KM Lawyer”) will be responsible for managing the creation, organization, and delivery of knowledge assets for the Data and Technology Transactions (“DTT”) Group. The KM Lawyer will support the delivery of a broad portfolio of knowledge services including the collation and organization of precedent, the provision of regular current awareness (monitoring of legal and regulatory developments), the coordination and delivery of training and the handling of legal research and enquiries.

We are seeking an experienced Permanent Data & Technology Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing and providing legal advice on a wide range of data and technology-related matters, including intellectual property, commercial agreements, IP licensing agreements, M&A, technology transactions, and data privacy. This is a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge legal issues in a fast-paced, high-tech environment.
Responsibilities
1. Provide expert legal advice on a wide range of data and technology-related matters.
2. Draft, review, and negotiate complex intellectual property, commercial agreements, IP licensing agreements, M&A, and technology transactions.
3. Develop and implement data privacy policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
4. Manage intellectual property portfolio, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets.
5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate legal risks.
6. Stay abreast of developments in data and technology law and advise the organization on potential impacts.
7. Represent the organization in legal proceedings related to data and technology matters.
Qualifications
1. Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admission to the state bar.
3. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a practicing attorney, preferably in the technology or data privacy sector.
4. Proven experience in intellectual property, commercial agreements, IP licensing agreements, M&A, and technology transactions.
5. Strong understanding of data privacy laws and regulations.
6. Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
