Data Strategy Leader

Requirements

• Build enterprise Data Strategy to help R&D Informatics organization achieve their objectives.
• Lead customer conversations, represent Zifo in strategic conversations around customer's Data Strategy.
• Provide consulting inputs to develop guidelines & provide design ideas.
• Develop business, information, and technical artifacts in relation to data architecture.
• Research, assess & provide recommendations on technology platforms & standards and best practices.
• Help customers estimate, plan, and prioritize data architecture efforts.
• Develop Data governance strategy.
• Deliver guidance and oversight for project teams.
• Facilitate stakeholder discussions and help obtain approvals from senior leadership.
• Build relationship with customer, internal and vendor leadership team.
• Train, mentor, and guide Zifo data modelers and BSAs and technical engineer
• Hands-on involvement in developing data models and architecture for critical engagements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Data Science, Computer Science, Business Analytics).
• Over 15+ years of experience working in the data management/data architecture space.
• Minimum 5+ years in a leadership role related to Data Strategy, data management, or analytics.

• Proven experience with designing and deploying enterprise data architecture.
• Proven experience with commonly used technology solutions supporting data exchange, data governance, data storage, data analytics & visualization.
• Proven experience with cloud-based RDBMS, data lakes, data warehouses, big data, object storage platforms
• Proven experience migrating data from legacy databases to modern platforms.
• Plugged-in to emerging commercial and open-source technologies & solutions e.g. Databricks, Snowflake, Immuta, Informatica
• Good understanding of concepts such as data integrity, data cubes, data modelling, ETL/ELT, data flow diagrams, BPMN, knowledge graphs, triple stores, ontology development & data Science
• Strong understanding of established and evolving industry standards and best practices (FAIR, Allotrope, CDISC) on data management
• Strong collaborations skills with the ability to manage several tasks simultaneously and a self-starting, proactive approach.
• Understanding of SDLC processes /methodologies and associated tools
• Understanding of lifescience data across domains such as Omics, pre-clinical, clinical, instrument data etc.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Demonstrated experience in driving cultural change towards a data-driven mindset.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.

• Problem solving & analytical thinking and decision-making skills.
