Job Summary:
The Data Specialist is responsible for the accurate and timely management of item-related data within the organization's systems. This role involves maintaining data integrity, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring that the item master data supports the organization's supply chain and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Input and update item master data, including but not limited to item codes, descriptions, attributes, classifications, and other relevant information.
- Regularly review and cleanse data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Ensure the integrity and accuracy of item data by conducting routine audits of item master data to identify and rectify discrepancies.
- Implement and enforce data quality standards to ensure consistency across systems.
- Work closely with procurement, product, sales, and other relevant departments to gather, validate and update item information.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and address any discrepancies or issues promptly.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency in managing item master data.
- Propose and implement improvements to enhance data management workflows.
- Provide input and collaborate with IT teams on system upgrades and implementations.
- Generate and analyze reports on item master data quality, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Support management by providing regular updates on data accuracy and completeness.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to item master data processes and procedures.
- Provide training to team members and end-users on best practices for data entry and maintenance.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Data Architecture and Management or equivalent work experience minimum 2+years hands on.
- Proficiency in Oracle EBS 12.1.2 software and other ERP systems.
- Proven experience in data management, preferably with a focus on item master data.
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in data entry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
**Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) or equivalent certification/experience and Bilingual Spanish is a +
