Job Title: Data Scientist
Position Summary:
The Data Scientist will report to the VP of Marketing Automation & Data Intelligence and be responsible for finding and implementing automation opportunities across all our reporting dashboards, providing advanced analytical support to our broad marketing efforts. This role will work closely with the Development, Research Cohorts/Partnerships, Brand Marketing, Public Policy, and other teams to provide business intelligence insights. It will advance the Foundation's ability to execute data-driven marketing campaigns by continuously improving audience behavior and response understanding. Additionally, this person will take ownership of our marketing data pipeline and manage the BI the BI systems and Salesforce integration.
This person will also be responsible for supervising the workflow of two junior Data Scientists.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Partner with the Marketing team to identify and scale strategies by scoping and analyzing channel/campaign performance, audience behavior, content performance and funnel reports
- Partner with multiple foundation teams to:
1) develop and maintain detailed reports integrating channel, audience and engagement insights focused on research participant recruitment and retention, and
2) develop iterative testing framework to optimize Marketing-led efforts in support of research participant recruitment and retention
- Partner with colleagues to advance shared initiatives related to email automation, UX testing and attribution modeling
- Develop and maintain ETL processes on Domo and AWS to produce detailed dashboards, reports and analyses in response to business questions from multiple stakeholder groups
- Own the full data pipeline to ensure data quality and integrity, and work with internal teams to automate diagnosis and fix data errors
- Support occasional business and marketing analysis for senior leadership and Board reviews
- Ideate and prototype data products to help multiple stakeholders extract valuable business insights
- Partner with Marketing Leadership to develop two junior team members
Qualifications and Skills:
- Demonstrated success and achievement in related fields, e.g., Data Science, Analytics, Business Intelligence, Consulting
- Expertise with BI tools such as Domo (preferred), Tableau or Power BI
- Fluent in Excel, SQL; proficiency in Phyton or R
- Experience with data integrations and ETL processing related projects
- Advance knowledge of statistics and mathematical concepts
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills for data interpretation
- Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of an organization
- Experience developing a team or two junior candidates
- Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in data analysis
Salary and Benefits:
