Our Client is a financial company. The company is hiring a Data Scientist to develop, implement, and validate models for forecasting loss. The ideal candidate has 2+ years of data science experience around forecasting and understands both theoretical and practical data science approaches. The company uses python and is open to using other technology to appropriately forecast. The job is on-site for 6 months then hybrid.
Responsibilities:

• Utilize statistical techniques for modeling purposes
• Implement models to optimize strategies and enhance the performance of the business
• Conduct forecasts for specific times or intervals, ensuring accurate insight for risk management
• Provide insight into budget variances to loss models and recommend adjustments as appropriate
• Develop and maintain dashboard reporting to track KPIs and metrics for management review
• Assess and monitor credit risks

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s in applicable field.
• Financial modeling, plus for forecasting
• Python or R experience
• Understanding of credit risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
