We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist to play a key role in our Data Science team as we leverage data science and machine learning to expand our drug pipeline.
The job: This role is responsible for the discovery and investigation of biomarker signatures, biological mechanisms, and drug targets related to biological aging, healthspan, and lifespan using ML/network-based approaches. The key focus for this position will be research and development work on our proprietary AI Platform to identify drug targets using proprietary data on human cohorts capturing decades of aging.

Responsibilities
- Develop and apply techniques in machine learning to elucidate fundamental drivers of human aging
- Perform statistical analysis to identify markers associated with aging phenotypes and mortality
- Apply network-based ML/DL algorithms to identify and prioritize drug targets for healthspan indications
- Automate computational pipelines for target ID and asset prioritization
- Ingest and analyze external data sets such as UK BioBank
- Regularly communicate/present research findings within the data science team and wider BioAge teams
- Create content and present work at various academic/industry conferences
Qualifications
- PhD in computational biology or a related discipline (required)
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in academia or industry after PhD
- Strong background in machine learning and statistics, as well as an interest in the biological processes that drive aging.
- Experience with big data, including omics and EHR/phenotypes, from large cohorts such as UK BioBank is a must.
- Fluent programmer in R/Python
- Additional publications and knowledge in ML methods development, aging biology, molecular biology, medicine, and/or drug discovery will be highly valuable.
- Experience in integrative analysis of proteomic, metabolomic, transcriptomic, and/or genomic data is highly desirable

The salary for this role is expected to be $120,000 for someone who meets the minimum qualifications as listed for the role, and may be adjusted accordingly for someone with more or less experience.
