Purpose:
Work cross-functionally with all departments to make strategic and tactical recommendations to optimize the company's performance to achieve pipeline, revenue, and sales objectives. The Data Scientist plays a crucial role supporting the organization's goals through data collection, data quality management, reporting, ad-hoc data and analysis requests, and data visualization. This position partners with IT to test and implement enhancements to databases, as well as evaluate the impact of changes to current reporting environments.
Location:
This position can report to either Kearney, NE or Holdrege NE Support Centers.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Understand the meaning behind the data in the data sources and the underlying data models to accurately leverage for business decision making and comprehensive understanding
- Create interactive reporting, visualization and dashboards utilizing Microsoft PowerBI and other analytic tools
- Develop complex reporting, analysis, and ad-hoc data solutions
- Perform data extraction, data mining, cleansing, transformation, and loading into formats for aggregation and analysis
- Generate information and insights from data sets, identifying trends and patterns
- Work with third party vendors to integrate into LandMark's systems
- Propose new approaches to problems, present research, findings, and recommendations to cross-functional teams, and oversee correct implementation of outcomes
- Collaborate with IT partners on data structure development, maintenance, troubleshooting, and data transmission
- Identify appropriate environment/platform to perform solution development
- Suggest areas to optimize workflows and automate processes
- Clearly and effectively communicate with business stakeholders to achieve and define business requirements

Skills, Education, and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, or similarly related field or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- 3+ years data analysis experience preferred.
- Proficiency with analytical/data management software and related programming languages, such as Tableau, R, Python, SAS, or Power BI.
- Intermediate SQL query development skills.
- Microsoft Dynamics Platform preferred.
- Programming experience preferred.
- Strong problem-solving ability, creativity to interpret design requirements and understanding of logical process flow.
- Motivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Inquisitive, agile, and strong team player with excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
- Work independently as well as within a team with various backgrounds.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
