We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join our dynamic team within the Titan America Digital Center of Excellence. This individual will play a key role in leveraging data analytics and machine learning to drive our sustainability goals, optimize our operational efficiency, and enhance decision-making processes. The Senior Data Scientist will be at the forefront of our efforts to harness the power of data in reducing environmental impact, improving product quality, and fostering a culture of innovation.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead complex data analysis projects that offer strategic insights and drive business outcomes.
  • Develop and implement machine learning models to predict trends, optimize processes, and improve product quality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, environmental science, and marketing, to ensure the alignment of data science projects with corporate sustainability goals.
  • Analyze large datasets to identify opportunities for reducing energy consumption, waste, and greenhouse gas emissions.
  • Design and execute A/B testing frameworks to validate hypotheses and measure the impact of data-driven interventions.
  • Communicate complex data insights and recommendations to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner.
  • Stay abreast of the latest developments in data science and sustainability practices, incorporating cutting-edge techniques and methodologies into projects.
  • Mentor junior Data Scientists and analysts, fostering a culture of learning and continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • Master’s or PhD in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in data science, with a proven track record of leading data-driven projects that have significant business impact.
  • Expertise in machine learning, statistical analysis, and predictive modeling.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, R, or a similar data science language.
  • Experience with big data technologies and tools (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
  • Knowledge of sustainability practices and metrics in the heavy building materials industry is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • A passion for sustainability and a commitment to driving positive environmental and social change.
