Grainger, Inc. is seeking a Data Scientist in Lake Forest, IL with the following requirements: Master’s degree in Data Science, Analytics, Applied Science or Machine Learning, or related field plus 1 year related experience. Prior experience must include: Apply ML/AI techniques including unsupervised and supervised machine learning, deep learning (CNN, RNN), time series forecasting (ARIMA SARIMA, GARCH) to conduct explanatory, predictive, and prescriptive modeling and analysis; Use database language (SQL, Hive) to define, manipulate and querying database; Leverage cloud-based platform (AWS, Google Cloud Platform) to conduct analysis and modeling using programming languages such as Python and PySpark; Design and implement statistical-based experiments including hypothesis testing, A/B testing to quantify business decisions’ impact; Produce interactive data visualizations reporting trends and patterns with dashboard platforms, R/Python packages, Tableau for ad-hoc analysis; Code with R, Python, SPSS, Spark languages and apply data analysis toolsets and machine learning platform (scikit-learn, pytorch).
