Job DescriptionLead a data scientist team to provide analytical solution to business, including problem formulation, model and application framework and methodology design, data engineering, Model development / update, and quality assurance.
Package and present findings and communicate results effectively to large cross-functional teams in business language, engage business customers to provide optimal application support.
Responsibilities
+ Build data-driven models to understand the characteristics of vehicle demand (price and volume) at nameplate or configuration level or more granularity level, including new and used cars.
+ Apply machine learning, data mining, and text mining techniques to train, tune, validate, and monitor predictive models. Provide suggestions for model refinement. Collaborate with other BSPA/GDIA teams to improve model alignment and application.
+ Establish scalable, efficient, and automated processes for data analysis.
Required Qualification :
+ Master in Statistics, Operations research, Applied mathematics, Computer Science, or in a related field
+ 5+ years of work experience in analytical support of marketing, sales, financial service area
+ 3+ years of hands-on experience in data management, statistical modeling or machine learning modeling, through Python.
+ 3+ years of experience of leading an analytical team to develop tool to solve real business problems
+ Excellent problem solving, communication, and data presentation skills
+ Ability to effectively communicate complex quantitative methods and results as easily understood business insights for all levels of business customers
+ Curious, fast learner, hands on
Preferred:
+ Ph.D. degree in the same fields
+ Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) including Vertex AI, Big Query is a plus.
+ Ability to motivate and inspire team members, build good relationship with business partners, and drives for results
+ Ability to foster technical and professional expertise and excellence
