Overview

The Data Science Manager will principally lead the Data Science team in developing strategic data products and services that advise commercial real estate strategy. This team specializes in the application of algorithmic, statistical, machine learning, and other advanced techniques in solving for location and financial outcomes. This role will have accountability for the development of proprietary models, processes, and procedures to ingest, maintain, visualize, and analyze both proprietary and third-party data at a global scale.

Responsibilities

• Spearhead development and implementation of Data Science deliverables across products, tools, and services
• Partner with market intelligence, advisory, and sales teams in the exploration and conceptualization of products and solutions
• Partner with software development teams to architect, implement, and evaluate models in support of product roadmap
• Support ingestion, management, and of proprietary and third-party data at a global scale
• Develop, grow, and secure technical talent across your team and the broader information technology teams through the organization
• Explore advancements in new technologies and software as applicable to business opportunities

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a Data Science, mathematics, computer science or related field required
• Master's or Ph.D. degree in Data Science, computer science, or related information technology field preferred, or equivalent experience
• 6+ years data analysis experience in Data Science or equivalent field
• 2+ years client-facing experience, preferably in commercial real estate sector
• 2+ years people management experience preferred

Experience you might have:

• Working on solutions for commercial real estate problems
• Working with and managing data in geospatial or relational databases
• Expert proficiency in Python, SQL, predictive modeling, machine learning and data visualization technologies
• Experience with DataBricks, Airflow, DBT, or other ETL systems
• Expertise in cloud-based technologies, e.g., Snowflake and Databricks
• Experience with ESRI, QGIS, Carto, or other GIS systems
• Experience with R, Java, or other programming languages
