Purpose:

As a Data Science Intern you will be an integral member of our Business Intelligence and Data Analytics team. This opportunity is perfect for individuals with an interest in advanced analytics and a desire to acquire practical experience in this fast-paced industry. Your role will involve assisting with various Data Science solutions such as product recommendation model building, inventory replenishment forecasting, learning about different data and analytics solutions, and contributing to our team's success.

What that looks like day to day:

• Contribute towards building AI/ML models leveraging Data Science, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning capabilities to solve use cases across our ecommerce and supply chain businesses to drive profitability and improve customer experience by way of personalization.
• Work on Data Science projects that drive digital commerce sales, and improved customer experience.
• Apply industry-leading analytical methodologies to derive meaningful business insights and creatively solve business problems.
• Assist with the analysis and solution of complex analytical problems using a variety of methods from Predictive/Prescriptive Analytics, Forecasting, Statistical Analysis and Modeling and you will apply advanced analytics methods and algorithms for identifying trends and providing business solutions.
• Develop algorithms and models against large and complex datasets and ensure that the analytical solutions have been reliably and accurately modeled, developed, tested and production ready for deployment and use by downstream systems.

Requirements and essential competencies:

• Currently pursuing or recently graduated in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of Data Science methodologies including AI/ML algorithms, model building, techniques, processes, and best practices.
• Data & statistics programming knowledge and skills such as Python, Scala, Spark, R, SAS, SPSS, ETL, Data visualization tools, etc.
• Knowledgeable in Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Recommendation, Search, NLP
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Organized and detail-oriented, with an ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
