Summary:
The Data Quality Analyst plays a crucial role in ensuring that healthcare data is accurate, reliable, and compliant with industry regulations. Their primary responsibility is to maintain and improve the quality of healthcare data to support effective decision-making, patient care, and regulatory compliance. This position will work collaboratively with various departments and teams to ensure that Data Quality standards are met.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Data Validation and Quality Assurance: conduct regular audits and assessments of data to identify inaccuracies, inconsistencies, and Data Quality issues; Implement data validation processes and quality checks to ensure data accuracy and completeness; collaborate with business partners and data management/governance teams to resolve Data Quality issues promptly.
  2. Continuous Quality Improvement: generate and maintain reports on Data Quality metrics, highlighting areas for improvement.; suggest, participate in, and implement data improvement initiatives, including data cleansing, validation, and enrichment processes; Keep up-to-date with industry standards, regulations, and best practices in Data Quality
  3. Business Analysis and Quality Assurance: process incoming data-related requests working with requesters to development business requirements to create and/or modify existing datasets or data solutions; perform control checks for data development builds and assist in the integration of data from various sources and systems; perform advanced analysis to deliver quality issue root causes.
  4. Data Quality Operations: maintain documentation related to Data Quality procedures and processes; ensure that Data Quality policies and guidelines are up-to-date and accessible to relevant stakeholders; provide training and guidance to staff members for appropriate data usage, Data Quality remediation efforts, and overall data management best practices.
  5. Stakeholder Management: collaborate with key stakeholders, data technology leaders, business line colleagues, and product owners to understand Data Quality challenges; collaborate with third-party vendors and contractors for data-related services and solutions; build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and organizational leadership.
  6. Security, Privacy, and Compliance: shape Data Quality compliance controls and maintain data security and privacy standards; ensure that Data Quality controls comply with relevant regulations, including HIPAA, GDPR, and other healthcare data privacy and security standards; align Data Quality operations with data governance practices and standards to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with regulatory requirements
  7. Data Matruity: participate regularly in Data Quality and governance initiatives to increase the accuracy and integrity of data within the enterprise data warehouse; create and support programs to increase data availability awareness and proper use and handling of organizational data as a company asset; regularly evaluate and manage data life cycles.

Minimum Qualifications:
Required Education: Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Information Management, Healthcare Informatics, Data Management, or a related field.
Preferred Education: Master's degree in Healthcare Information Management, Healthcare Informatics, Data Management, or a related field.
Required Experience:
  • Proven experience in Data Quality management, business analysis, data solution implementation, or related fields
  • Advanced knowledge of healthcare data/information workflows
  • Advanced knowledge of data ingestion and ETL/ELT processes
  • Advanced SQL programming experience
  • Advanced BI report development and BI workspace management
  • Preferred Experience:
  • 2+ year experience in Data Quality management, business analysis, data solution implementation, or related fields
  • Strong experience with Google Data Platform data processing
  • Expert knowledge of healthcare data/information workflows
  • Expert knowledge of data ingestion and ETL/ELT processes
  • Expert SQL programming experience
  • Expert BI report development and BI workspace management

Preferred License/Registration/Certification:
CHDA (Certified Health Data Analyst, AHIMA); RHIA/RHIT (Registered Health Information Administrator, Registered Health Information Technician, AHIMA)
Computer Skills Required:
Gsuite and Microsoft Office Applications
