Our Data Processing Specialist focuses exclusively on order management, information integrity and data projects. This person will maintain accurate and timely procedures for the Experience Services team's work and uses that information to improve processes and suggest enhancements to the Manger of Experience Services.

This position is responsible for collaborating with B2B customers (facilities and organizations) regarding potential and existing orders. This position answers a variety of product, service, and program-related questions via all communication mediums (phone, email, etc.). The Data Processing Specialist records interactions through Salesforce and/or customer database. In addition, handles inbound and outbound communications ensuring each business customer has a positive experience with AORN's suite of perioperative offerings.

The Data Processing Specialist works with the entire Membership team on data requests and is the go-to resource for database projects including record clean-up. This position requires a self-motivated individual who cooperates with a variety of people and maintains the highest level of data integrity.

AORN is based in Denver, CO. Preference will be given to local candidates, but we are open to fully remote candidates.

More about what you'll get to do as our Data Processing Specialist:

  • Manages the daily activities of Data Processing and serves as the primary liaison for specific customers.
  • Handles Healthcare Organization (HCO) order fulfillment.
  • Process/manage group membership.
  • Handles event registration and cancellations.
  • Handles online education registration and roster management.
  • Works collaboratively with the accounting department to identify and resolve payment problems.
  • Determines the best method to resolve complex customer service issues to ensure customer satisfaction and adherence to Association policies.
  • Develops strong member/customer relationships and partners with the Manager and Experience Services on proposals to the Director of Membership to improve the quality of new and established customer service processes.
  • Research chargeback notifications and takes appropriate action for resolution.
  • Processes HCO book orders, purchase orders, and creates quotes when applicable.
  • Oversees the refund process and other payment, billing or membership adjustments as needed and makes recommendations to Manager and Experience Services regarding resolution.
  • Helps with the registration process and general customer service for the Association's annual conference. This may include on-site event customer service and support.
  • Partners with the Membership team to manage data projects.
  • Ensures accurate, up-to-date files in the database, including managing duplicate records.
  • Ensures the team's work is accurate and complete especially for any financial transactions.
  • Maintains current knowledge of products and services offered by the Association, as well as general knowledge of Association governance and policies. Provides comprehensive and accurate responses internally and externally as needed by using available resource material and information maintained in the Association's database. Regularly shares new or existing resources on products and services with team.
  • Collects pertinent metrics and improves workflow within the team. Shares relevant metrics on a timely basis.
  • Identifies and creates ways to enhance member and customer satisfaction and improve productivity.
  • Responds to written and telephone inquiries related to AORN product orders.
  • Identifies opportunities to further assist AORN's customers.
  • Fills in to ensure the smooth operation of the department as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Must Have’s to be our Data Processing Specialist:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 4 years of Data Processing experience.
  • 2-4 years of experience working in a customer service environment.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • HCO order processing experience.
  • Proficiency with ten key typing.
  • Experience with data reporting and writing queries.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Basic accounting skills, including batch processing, accounts payable and receivable, and transaction balancing.
  • Ability to analyze data, determine key metrics, and recommend process improvements for improving customer service and work execution levels Intermediate accounting skills, including batch processing, accounts payable and receivable, and transaction balancing Knowledge of PCI security standards and ability to maintain confidential information.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications such as Outlook, Excel, and Word and experience working with a database tracking system.
  • Ability to type 60 wpm.
  • Strong interpersonal and team building skills, and proven ability to work with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Detail oriented; ability to evaluate accuracy of work and meet quality control standards.
  • Strong verbal communication skills and a strong commitment to customer service and data integrity.

WORKING CONDITIONS
