Description
The Spartan Management Group owns and operates multiple Plumbing and HVAC businesses across the U.S. We are rapidly growing and adding positions to support our locations, including a full time Data Entry Clerk. Candidates for consideration need at least two years of relatable experience.
While there are specific job responsibilities outlined below, the position requires a willingness to be flexible and assist in a variety of ways. In general, those holding this position must be great on the phone with our customers, work well with the team, have analytical skills, be detail-oriented, and able to multi-task. As with all on our team, you must take ownership of your success and failures in order to excel.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create spreadsheets to track important customer information and orders.
- Transfer data from hard copy to a digital database.
- Update customer information in a database.
- Organize existing data in a spreadsheet.
- Verify outdated data and make any necessary changes to records.
- Operate common office equipment, like scanners and printers.
- Search for and investigate information contained in files.
- Perform regular database backups to secure data.
- Input text-based and numerical information from source documents.
- Provide occasional administrative support.
- Sort and organize hard copies of paperwork after entering data electronically.
- Review data for deficiencies or errors.
- Assist with special projects that require large amounts of Data Entry.
- Provide Data Entry support across departments on an ad-hoc basis.
- Type in data quickly and efficiently.

Requirements
- 2+ years of administrative/office experience.
- Associates Degree a plus.
- Experience with payroll a plus.
- Experience in the Plumbing & HVAC industry preferred but not required.
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Self-motivated and detail oriented.
- Capacity to multi-task, follow up, and follow through.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office.
- QuickBooks experience a plus.
Salary Description
$18-$22 per hour
