Data Entry Associate

Job Summary

The Order Entry Associate plays an important back office role in support of the company purchasing and retail operations. This position assures that the vast and every-changing information on products, pricing, purchasing, and inventory for the majority of resale items in D&D Outfitters and D&D Farm & Ranch are recorded and controlled accurately and timely. The following job description encompasses all functions handled in the department, though individual items may be assigned to a specific employee, all members of the department need to be able to handle these items as needed.

Duties & Responsibilities:

· Enter purchase orders from assigned buyers to our POS system. Ensure accuracy on quantity, cost and retail price. When a buyer is using a new vendor, create vendor, brand, class, contact information and other system requirements.

· Process vendor returns for credit for damaged item, etc. per cashier’s damage list RTV’s. Transfer out product and/or call vendors for replacement/credit.

· Work with the accounting department to reconcile and address any issues re: vendor invoice accuracy (e.g. prices, quantities, etc.) Refer any price discrepancies to the buyer for resolution. Process any required adjustments and forward to receiving/Data Entry for reprint of price tags

· Work with the inventory counts for assigned lines/departments. Problem solve inventory issues and assist buyers as with inventory issues as needed.

· Support retail operations as needed. Work in a sales/cashier capacity as schedules and seasonal activity require.

· Process Daily Deposits for register and other receipts in Trailers, Retail, Feed and Outside departments.

· Assist the receptionist in answering incoming calls when required.

· Run the mail daily, bring to mailbox. Track trailer checks in Excel spreadsheet. Get with accounting when mail machine needs money.

· Perform filing and other general office functions as required.

Performance Evaluation

The performance of the Data Entry Associate will be evaluated based on timeline given at the time of position offering.

Qualifications

1. At least two (2) years prior direct experience in a general office operation in a commercial enterprise.

2. A high school diploma or equivalent.

3. Excellent organizational and communication skills.

4. Hands on proficiency with computer systems, administrative software, word processing and spreadsheets

5. Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure

6. This is primarily an administrative position requiring no special physical skills or capabilities
