Job Description:
This position receives, stores, and issues equipment, material, supplies, merchandise, tooling, and compiles stock record in support of the aircraft, by performing the following duties.
Orders, distributes and maintains an inventory of adequate parts, supplies and equipment, to be available for distribution to all team members in support of mission requirements, keeping detailed records of each item received and issued.
Counts, sorts and weighs incoming parts, supplies and equipment to verify precise receipt of items as per itemized purchase orders and invoices.
Ensures the efficient and effective repair of aircraft components, assemblies and other mission-support equipment and tools by utilizing repair orders or other acceptable repair procedures. Furthermore, this position will assist in monitoring Calibration for all test and support equipment.
Conducts initial inspection of incoming items to verify conformance to Government and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations and is responsible for properly preparing, packing, labelling, and processing parts, tools or equipment for shipping.
Proficient in operation of shipping computer software program to ensure accurate and precise labelling of outgoing shipments.
Conducts routine, sampling inspections of existing stock to verify compliance to Government and FAA regulations, ensuring that all items past their expiration date or otherwise deemed unserviceable are removed from stock and replaced with new stock.
Stores all parts, supplies and equipment in their assigned locations according to identifying information such as style, size, bend location or type of material.
Provides assistance in the management of unit loaned equipment. Processes request for mission support assets and monitors/tracks assets during deployments. Supports the management of loan accounts with vendors. Coordinates repair/purchases of supported assets with buyer/planner. Determines parts requirements and develops provisioning documentation.
Job Requirements:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Associates degree preferred. Minimum of two to three (2 to 3) years of proven aviation materials, HAZMAT, supply, storage and inventory control experience.
