Data Engineer Ii

Primary Position Purpose:

The Data Engineer II will work with new and legacy systems to lead the way for high-quality decisions. The Data Engineer will be the subject matter expert and go to person for systems integration questions, coding, and be an integral part of building an optimal system.

Position Functions:

• Develop robust, scalable solutions for collecting & analyzing large data sets. Must be proficient in creating & maintaining data pipelines.
• Proficiency in developing packages, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and complex SQL statements.
• Experience with ETL tools (such as Informatica)
• Design logical data models and their physical schema design.
• Experience with Git and/or bitbucket is a plus.
• Ability to work with multiple data sources and types (structured/semi-structured/unstructured)
• Cloud experience (AWS/Azure/Google) is a plus
• Collaborate in-person with all levels of the organization to harness collective intelligence of the workforce.
• Attend all in-person meetings and trainings on recent developments, goals, and objectives. Participate in such discussions by offering input and advice.
• Regularly engage remotely and in-person with customers and potential customers to establish rapport, open communication, and expectations.

What We’re Looking For:

Education

· High school diploma or equivalent required.

· Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience developing robust, scalable solutions for collecting & analyzing large data sets. Must be proficient in creating & maintaining data pipelines.
• Proficiency in developing packages, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and complex SQL statements required
• Experience using SQL Server required
• Experience with ETL tools (such as Informatica)
• Design logical data models and their physical schema design.
• Experience with Git and/or bitbucket is a plus.
• Ability to work with multiple data sources and types (structured/semi-structured/unstructured)
• Cloud experience (AWS/Azure/Google) preferred
• DB2 experience a plus
• MongoDB and Kafka a plus

Skills & Abilities

· High level expertise with SQL required. Graph database experience is highly desired.

· Partner with Data Owners to design solutions that align to data governance and data management principles best practices.

· Data Visualization with PowerBI / Tableau / QlikView or equivalent is a plus

· Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile and dynamic environment with both virtual and face-to-face interactions.

· Strong collaborative mindset, good judgment with great interpersonal skills required to help solve complex business problems.

Work Environment: This job operates in a normal professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, fax machines, and filing cabinets.

Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee must have the ability to communicate or exchange information. The employee is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as viewing a computer, expansive reading, or preparing and analyzing data, reports, and figures.

Pay: $89,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
